The PHR Billet Bellhousing for the 6R80 to 2JZ starts it's life as a 150 lb piece of solid billet 6061 aluminum. It is CNC machined down to less than 14 lbs of pure brilliant art. This piece is gorgeous - and a perfect fit for mating the Ford 6R80 transmission to the Toyota 2JZ engine!
This bellhousing is .5" thick around the flexplate area and converter area so it can act like a scattershield and is much stronger than similar cast type bellhousings for other transmissions. SFI certification is in the works.
It incorporates support bracket bosses to add strength to the bellhousing to converter, and helps to lock the entire drivetrain together.
The 6R80 has an integrated bellhousing so installation of this bellhousing requires cutting the factory bell off and clearancing for the PHR Bellhousing. We will provide detailed instructions on how to do this.
